Bubbles and Balloons

Children under 5 and their parents are having a unique chance to regularly learn a range of sports and skills in Horsham in a new programme called Bubbles and Balloons©. Bubbles and Balloons© provide children as young as 15 months the chance to learn and develop movement and coordination skills, and play in a range of sports in a fun and friendly approach. Bubbles and Balloons takes place in Horsham Park Courts on Friday and Sunday mornings 9.30-10.30. Bubbles and Balloons© is part of Award winning Global Tennis and is the only multi-sport and multi-skill programme in the country for Under 5s and Horsham is proud to host such innovative activities especially with all the negative press about obesity. Ian Ford, Sports Development Officer of Horsham District Council said, “Gary Marlow’s Global Tennis has done a great job of diversifying sports provision in the Horsham area with innovative and popular programmes like Bubbles and Balloons engaging children aged under 5 years and their parents”. Global Tennis run a number of other programmes, which includes the Global Tennis Academy and soon to be launched I-Sport, for those children and young adults that have physical or learning difficulties. High School’s out and the Wildcts need summer jobs!

Troy, Gabriella, Taylor and Chad all land work at an exclusive country club but it’s not going to be an easy ride as Ryan and Sharpay are vacationing there too and plan on having some fun of their own. As it turns out their family owns the club, so the scheming siblings make it their mission to stir things up for the friends. High School Musical 2 premiered in Wimbledon on 23 August and what a show! It was packed to the rafters with a loud enthusiastic audience including a group of children from Horsham. Freya, Peter, Ami, Yelena and Ruari ere spellbound especially when photographed with Tryo, Grabriella, Taylor, Chad, Ryan and Sharpay. Freya (9) – “It was amazing. High School Musical 2 is about the Wild Cats on their summer holiday. At first Troy’s new summer job looked good but it turned out really bad because of Sharpay. Sharpay played golf really badly and hit a duck.” Amalia (6) – “When I was at HSM 2 I liked it because the songs were good especially the last song when we all clapped. Gabriella and Troy were good at singing and Gabriella’s clothes were really pretty.” Yelena (6) – “I went to HSM 2 I liked the bit when the two boys lifted up a girl and threw her up into the sky. Gabriella was very good and Troy was too. At the end we all clapped to the songs.” Peter (7) – “I think all the basketball is really cool! I love the music and the clapping to all the songs. I loved meeting everyone afterwards!! I had such funny and was happy when I went home.” Featuring Les Dennis and Liam Doyle, chosen by the GMTV search for Troy – the show is on at the Brighton Centre from 15-18 October and will feature just six shows. To book, phone the Brighton Centre on 0844 847 1515 or log on to www.brightoncentre.co.uk This is a must see show for all High School Musical fans!!!

Less mess, less fuss and more food!

Is the promise of Salmon Luke, an innovative baby products company founded by a husband and wife team Anthony and Kaye Broad, after a hectic experience trying to persuade their youngest child to feed himself. Following their fruitless search to find an existing product which worked, the couple set about designing one of their own. Three years of research later, they successfully patented, me-feed-me, a unique range of dinnerware, designed to help toddlers master the tricky art of self-feeding. The unique me-feed-me bowl, has three easy-scoop corners, designed to guide food into perfect mouth sized portions, and a 360◦ wave shaped rim, to flip food back onto the cutlery and not over the sides. Genius. The me-feed-me cutlery is specially designed for small hands, with a tapered handle and flat underside to encourage the correct grip position. The me-feed-me bowl and cutlery set is available from www.salmonluke.com and quality nursery retailers priced at £9.95.
